Established in 1910, to promote and protect retail employers in the Commonwealth, the Retailers Association of Massachusetts (RAM) today serves the same function it did over 90 years ago—to serve as “The Voice of Retailing” in Massachusetts. Collectively accomplishing what individual stores cannot, RAM represents the interests of retail merchants of all types and sizes across the state. Our efforts are intended to prevent new and unnecessary costs and burdens upon small business owners, and to promote free enterprise in the Commonwealth. With the legislative and regulatory arenas becoming more active and complex, RAM stands alone in representing our industry with a staff of full-time professionals dedicated to keeping retailing a strong and viable employment sector in Massachusetts.
Besides representing retail merchants before government and media interests, RAM also provides valuable member group buying benefits and educational opportunities—all designed to make your business more profitable and successful. Membership in RAM is an investment in your store’s future, and the future of your industry in Massachusetts. The tangible dividends you will receive from your membership investment will pay you back year after year.
