ABI ANNOUNCES HEATH INSURANCE ALLIANCE (2010)
ABI and the Retailers Association of Massachusetts announce a strategic alliance with Northern Benefits of Massachusetts in offering Health Insurance Programs to it's members.
Partially Self-Funded Health Insurance Means…Savings For You.
A partially self-funded plan may help you save money while maintaining traditional health benefits for your employees.
With self-funding, you finance your company’s health plan, funding claim expenses up to a predetermined amount. if actual expenses are less, you keep the savings. if expenses are greater, there is a limit on your financial risk through stop-loss insurance protection. You can help your company take charge of their healthcare costs by establishing a partially self-funded plan.
A partially self-funded plan provides the following advantages:
-Employers don’t pay premiums for care their employees might receive. They only pay for the care actually received
-If a group’s claims exceed their claim fund balance, stop-Loss insurance protects you by paying the excess charges
-If annual claims are low and a fund balance exists at the end of the year, your client keeps the unused dollars.
-Employers can choose from several available plan options, including HSAs and
HRAs
