About Association Benefits Insurance Agency
ABI was formed to develop and grow New England based associations through the marketing and sales of insurance products to niche based industries. By utilizing the associations buying power every business that meets the underwriting criteria can either save money on their insurance or better insure their business. By building the centers of influence for each association, each group develops the foundation for solid growth with reliable insurance products.

In 1991 ABI principal Frank Michaud spearheaded the marketing efforts for the Retailers Association of Mass. Self-Insured Workers Compensation Group. As a result of the growth and success of the workers compensation program the association expanded its benefits with ABI in offering all lines of commercial insurance.

Frank Venuto, ABI’s other principal, brought the existing property and liability program from the New England Home Furnishings Association to aid in building this new commercial insurance endeavor. Since its inception in the year 2000, this new full service offering has added over 700 new members to the association program as well as accommodating and saving existing members on their commercial insurance.
